On January 23, 2026, the Selection Committee for the contest to choose the official logo of the 2026 Paddle Europe Slalom Championships concluded its work, identifying the winning proposal among the 20 entries received. The Committee—composed of President Albarosa Bertoli, Lucia Curzio, Daniela Borla, Luca Simion, and Enrico Capirone—declared the logo designed by Bianca Letizia Curzio as the winner.

The choice was driven by the project’s ability to immediately communicate the event’s identity through an essential, contemporary, and easily recognizable visual language. Based on the contest criteria, the Committee spoke highly of its consistency with the values and identity of the event, its communicative effectiveness, and its versatility, rewarding both the conceptual idea and its functional application.

A distinctive element of the selected proposal is the stylized reference to the Ponte Vecchio, a symbol of the city deeply connected to the competition context. The Committee interpreted the bridge as an image representing the link between the Canoe Stadium and Ivrea, but also as a universal symbol of connection and encounter.

This imagery aligns with the value of sports as a common language capable of bringing people and nations together, reflecting the international vocation of the competition. This interpretation is fully consistent with the founding principles of the Ivrea Canoa Club: openness, mutual respect, and the promotion of a culture of peace among peoples.

The Committee specified that the selection prioritized the simplicity and reproducibility of the graphic lines, which were considered decisive factors for ensuring the effective use of the logo across different media—from digital platforms and print to signals and merchandising. Therefore, the decision was based on the merit of the underlying idea of the design.
