A new integrated cameras system installed along the canal of the Stadio della Canoa in Ivrea – created in collaboration and with the technology of Axis, Electric-Solutions, Elsynet, Tiesse and Top-ix allows the athletes in competition to be filmed from such a close distance and with an image quality never achieved before.

The system, used on an experimental level during the recent ECA Junior Slalom Cup, is able to bring notable developments regarding: the technical analysis of the athletic gestures, with possible uses by the judges in the evaluation of penalties; the constant monitoring of the water level of the Dora, to further improve safety; the possibility of high-impact live streaming.

Further developments, including the integration with AI, are already being studied, as underlined by Stefano Cipressi, technical manager of national level athletes at the Federal Center of Ivrea.
